The Restaurant Technology and Support team provides primary technical support to both Corporate and Restaurant associates. The Team is responsible for maintaining restaurant systems, ordering platforms, and technology endpoints. Duties & Responsibilities

The Restaurant Systems Engineer is responsible for the design, development, testing, and implementation of the point-of-sale system and its integrations. This individual is the technical expert of the POS system, able to fully represent the system's capabilities and limitations when recommending and designing both native and custom solutions. This individual works directly with business partners to gather requirements and propose expert, high quality solutions for any new features, enhancements, and/or configuration changes. This individual is responsible for creating and maintaining system documentation and defining QA/testing and change/implementation plans.

The Engineer will collaborate with business partners to ensure that the POS, kitchen systems, payment systems, and online ordering platforms are accurately prepared to deliver the company's strategies for menu, pricing, operations, and ordering. The Engineer must be an efficient multi-tasker, able to appropriately estimate and prioritize work to ensure on-time delivery of restaurant initiatives. The Engineer also maintains a queue of incident and request tickets, applying appropriate prioritization of resolution of these tasks.

  • Experience in the design and implementation of Oracle Micros point of sale, kitchen systems, and self-service kiosks
  • Experience in leading the design and implementation of integrated and 3rd party payment and gift card solutions
  • Experience in the design and implementation of menus, PLUs, and POS user interfaces
  • Experience in the administration of integrated online ordering systems and menus (OLO)
  • 5+ years of escalated support of POS systems including Oracle Micros and NCR Aloha.
  • Experience in large scale deployment projects, methodologies, and the software delivery lifecycle.
  • Strong familiarity with restaurant operations, back office, and accounting principles
  • Strong familiarity with Windows OS management and TCP/IP network architecture
  • Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of PCI-DSS and associated security best practices and tools
  • Ability to collaborate with others in a team environment.
  • Must be able to multi-task and manage multiple tasks incident & service request tickets.
  • Highly focused on detail and quality
  • Need to be able to sit for extended period and lift up to 50lbs.
